I am a licensed Driving Instructor with more than 25 years of experience in driver education, road safety, professional driver training, and advanced driving development.
Throughout my career, I have trained more than 6,000 drivers, including learner drivers, professional truck and bus drivers, corporate fleet drivers, track day participants, and performance driving enthusiasts.
My professional expertise combines Advanced Driver Training, Defensive Driving, Driver Coaching, Driver Behaviour Analysis, Risk Assessment, Fleet Safety Management, Corporate Driver Training, Vehicle Dynamics, Car Control, Accident Prevention, and Professional Driver Development.
As the founder of RDE Serres, owner of Samaras Driving School, and managing director of a transport company operating articulated trucks, I bring together real-world experience from driver education, motorsport environments, commercial transport operations, and road safety programs.
In 2017, I founded RDE Serres with the goal of providing advanced driver training and road safety education at the Serres Racing Circuit, one of Europe’s most respected racing facilities.
I have trained hundreds of drivers in situations that cannot be safely replicated on public roads, helping them better understand vehicle dynamics, grip limits, car control, and proper responses during critical driving situations.
My programs combine classroom instruction, practical driver coaching, performance driving techniques, defensive driving principles, and hands-on experience in a controlled environment.
Training is tailored to private individuals, professional drivers, corporate fleets, track day participants, and performance driving enthusiasts.
As Managing Director of a transport company operating articulated trucks, I work daily with professional drivers, fleet operations, transport regulations, and road safety management.
My experience includes fleet safety management, fleet risk management, driver supervision, transport operations, accident prevention strategies, and professional driver development.
This practical experience allows me to deliver training based on real operational challenges rather than theoretical concepts alone.
Since 2004, I have continued the family tradition of Samaras Driving School, originally founded in 1978.
Over the years, I have trained more than 6,000 learner drivers for motorcycle, passenger car, truck, bus, and articulated vehicle driving licences.
My training philosophy focuses on developing safe driving habits, hazard perception, responsible decision-making, risk awareness, and long-term driving competence rather than simply preparing candidates to pass their driving test.
I also provide training for:
My involvement with the Serres Racing Circuit began before 2000.
Since then, I have participated in more than 500 track days, vehicle evaluations, driver training events, performance driving activities, and motorsport-related programs.
This experience enables me to combine performance driving techniques, road safety principles, driver psychology, and practical driving skills into a comprehensive training methodology.
I also have experience supporting vehicle evaluation, automotive testing, driver development programs, and performance driving coaching.
For more than eight years, I have served as President of the Serres Driving Instructors Association.
Since 2004, I have actively participated in the European Road Safety Charter, supporting initiatives aimed at reducing road traffic accidents and improving driver education standards.
I regularly participate in conferences, seminars, workshops, and educational programs related to road safety, traffic education, driver development, and professional driver training.
I believe that safe driving is not simply a technical skill. It is a mindset built on responsibility, respect, knowledge, and continuous improvement.
My goal is to help drivers, professional operators, corporate fleets, and organisations develop safer, more effective, and more professional driving behaviours through practical experience, evidence-based training, and real-world expertise.
As the father of three children, I strongly believe that safe driving is not just a skill, but a mindset based on responsibility, respect for others, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
“I may have been driving for years, but what I learned today was unique.”
This is one of the most common comments I hear after a training session.
And it remains one of the greatest rewards of my work.
If you would like to improve your driving skills, receive professional driver training in a safe environment, or organise a training programme for private drivers, professional drivers or corporate fleets, feel free to get in touch through RDE Serres.
